    db.c:1577: DBescape_string: Assertion `from' failed.

That error ("db.c:1577: DBescape_string: Assertion `from' failed.") is printed directly onto the screen, then the server shuts down.
I can restart it without Problems, but after about 15mins this procedure repeats.

Is this a bug or what's going on here?

      Hi all,

I have the same problem. Does anyone know more about it?
      Here what happened to me:

I updated recently zabbix to 1.1.4 stable on Fedora Core 5.
      I keep getting this error:
      zabbix_server: db.c:1699: DBescape_string: Assertion `from' failed.

I think it's because of the item: web.page.regexp[www.mywebsite.com,default.aspx,80,sometext,8]
When I set the item type to "text", I get in the "Latest value" three points (...):

When I set the information type to "Log", I get the correct value in Monitoring, Latest data ("sometext" in my example). But then zabbix_server crashes with the error described above.

Problem solved. Type of Information "Text" was wrong. It works when I set it to "Character".

          Good hint!

          Thank you!

I'll try that solution when the error occurs next time!

The issue has been fixed. Please wait for 1.1.5.
